Description

A single tier cathedral veil bordered with a wide scalloped lace, placed so the deepest part of the scallop falls at the train, where the veil is looked at the longest. The border is deliberately wide enough to be the subject of the veil rather than a trim on it, which is also why it asks for a clean gown underneath. Through the body of the veil the tulle is left plain, so the lace holds as a defined edge in ceremony portraits instead of dissolving into pattern.

Will this veil match my dress?

This veil comes in three colors. Ivory, a soft warm white, is held in stock and ships within 3–5 business days. Cream, a deeper and creamier ivory, and Champagne are made to order for you: each adds $20, ships within 2–4 weeks, and is final sale.

We photograph our veils in daylight, so what you see here is close to what arrives, though every screen renders tone a little differently. If you are unsure which shade suits your gown, email us a daylight photo of your dress and we will tell you honestly which one we would choose.

For this veil: it is best over clean gowns that can carry lace at the train, or over romantic dresses with restrained lace motifs. A heavily laced gown and this veil will compete.

Shipping & returns

Shipping. Ivory is in stock. Your order leaves our warehouse within 3–5 business days and we email you a tracking number the day it goes out. Standard shipping is free on every US order with no minimum (USPS Ground Advantage, 3–5 business days in transit), so most orders arrive inside two weeks. We ship within the United States only at this time.

Made-to-order colors. Cream and Champagne are made for your order and ship within 2–4 weeks. Because they are made to order, they are final sale and cannot be returned.

Returns. You have 14 days from delivery to start a return. The veil needs to come back unworn, with tags attached, in its original packaging. Return shipping is a flat $15, deducted from your refund; prepaid return labels are available inside the US only. If a veil comes back with makeup, foundation, perfume, stains, or hair on it, a $20 cleaning fee is deducted as well. If it comes back damaged, we email you before we process anything. What we deduct depends on whether the piece can be restored.

Care

Store the veil loosely folded in the bag it arrives in, away from direct sunlight. Tulle takes a crease from tight folding and from heat, so give it room.

To release fold lines, hang the veil in a bathroom while you run a hot shower for 20–30 minutes, or steam it from about 20 cm (8 in) away on the lowest setting. Never press a hot iron directly onto tulle, lace, pearls, or fabric flowers.

Spot clean only, with cold water on a white cloth, testing an inside corner first. For anything larger than a small mark, take it to a dry cleaner who handles bridal pieces rather than washing it at home.
