Ordering and timing

Do you ship from stock, or is each veil made after I order?

Ivory veils ship from stock. Every Ivory veil listed on the site is finished, inspected, and sitting on a shelf in our U.S. warehouse, so your order goes out within 3–5 business days rather than weeks.

We make in small runs rather than large ones, which is why we keep one stock color, Ivory, and a handful of styles instead of forty. Cream and Champagne are made to order after you buy.

There is one exception: The Golden Hour, our 3D floral style. Every rose on it is placed by hand, so it is made to order rather than held in stock, and it is not listed for online purchase: email us if you want one and we will confirm the lead time and price in writing before you commit.

When will my veil ship?

Ivory veils ship within 3–5 business days of purchase; Cream and Champagne are made to order and ship in 2–4 weeks. We'll email you a tracking number the day it leaves our warehouse.

Transit is on top of that: 3–5 business days on free standard shipping. So most U.S. orders for Ivory veils arrive within about two weeks of the day they are placed.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes. You can cancel for a full refund any time before your order ships. No fee, no restocking charge. Email us your order number and we refund your original payment method.

Because we ship Ivory from stock, that window is short: usually the first day or two. Cream, Champagne and custom veils can be cancelled for a full refund until we start making them. After it ships, our Returns & Exchanges policy applies instead: 14 days from delivery, with $15 return shipping deducted from your refund.

My wedding is soon. Can you rush it?

Usually, yes. Because the veils are already made, the only variable is how fast we can pack and how fast the carrier moves. Email hello@sovellebridal.com with your date before you order and we'll tell you honestly what is realistic. We can often pack the same day when we know a date is tight.

This does not apply to Cream, Champagne or The Golden Hour, because they are made to order. Ask us about those early.

Color and matching

What colors do your veils come in?

Three. Ivory, a soft warm white, is our stock color and ships in 3–5 business days. Cream, a deeper, creamier ivory, and Champagne, a warm beige with a soft golden cast, are made to order: +$20, ship in 2–4 weeks, and final sale.

Choose the color on the product page. It tells you straight away whether that color ships from stock or is made to order.

Which color will work with my dress?

Ivory suits most gowns. Tulle is translucent and picks up the dress underneath, so an ivory veil sits comfortably over white, diamond white and light ivory. If your dress is a deep ivory or cream, choose Cream. If it leans beige, gold or blush, choose Champagne.

Our Color Guide walks you through checking this yourself in about five minutes, using your actual dress and a window. Don't judge it from our photos or yours: no screen is a color-managed proof. Because Cream and Champagne are final sale, email us a daylight photo of your dress if you're unsure and we'll tell you which we'd pick.

Choosing and wearing

How do I choose a length?

Start with two questions: how much of your dress do you want visible, and how formal is the ceremony. A cathedral veil extends past the gown and creates the aisle moment. A fingertip veil sits around the fingertips and keeps the back of the dress visible. A blusher or shoulder length is about the face and the reveal, not the train.

Our Veil Length Guide has the actual measurements in inches and centimeters, where each length falls on the body, and which of our veils matches each one.

How does the comb attach, and will it stay in?

Most of our veils are finished with a comb sewn into the gathered top edge. To secure it, back-comb a small section of hair where the veil will sit, push the comb in against the direction of the hair, then rotate it downward so the teeth lock into the back-combed section. That rotation is the part most people miss, and it is the difference between a comb that slides and one that holds.

If your hair is fine or very smooth, ask your stylist to add two bobby pins in a criss-cross over the comb's spine. A cathedral veil in wind benefits from this regardless of hair type.

The Golden Hour is the exception: it is made without a sewn-in comb and is pinned or clipped in place instead. If you are ordering one, tell us how you plan to wear it and we will advise on securing it.

Can I wear the blusher over my face and then flip it back?

Yes, on our two-tier styles. The Second Look and The Clean Line both have a shorter front layer designed to be worn forward for the aisle and lifted back afterward. Single-tier veils have no blusher layer.

Do you do custom work?

Yes. Start from any of our veils and change the color, length, edge or tiers, or send us a reference photo and we will quote a veil built around it. See Custom Veils for how it works. Email hello@sovellebridal.com with what you have in mind and we'll tell you whether it's something we can make, what it would cost, and how long it takes. Custom work is made rather than picked from stock, so it does not ship in 3–5 days.

One thing to know before you ask: custom pieces are final sale and cannot be returned. We put that in writing before we start, and you can cancel for a full refund until we start making it.

Returns, shipping, and trust

How do returns work?

You have 14 days from delivery to start a return. Email us and we send a prepaid label. Return shipping is $15 and comes out of your refund, so you never pay upfront. The veil needs to come back unworn, with tags attached, in its original packaging. Cream, Champagne and custom veils are made to order and final sale.

If it comes back with makeup, foundation, perfume, stains, or hair on it, we deduct a $20 cleaning fee. Tulle is unforgiving: try the veil on before you put makeup on. If it comes back damaged, we email you with photographs before we process anything. Full details are on the Returns & Exchanges page.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet. During launch we ship to the United States only. If you're outside the U.S., email us and we'll let you know when that changes.

Why don't you have many reviews?

Sovelle is a new bridal brand and we launched this collection in 2026, so there aren't hundreds of reviews here yet. We'd rather grow slowly with genuine feedback than fill this page with anything less. If you're one of our first brides, we'll ask you for an honest review after your wedding: good or bad.

How is this different from a $30 veil on Etsy or Amazon?

Sometimes it isn't, and we'll say that plainly: a lot of cheap tulle veils are perfectly fine, and if a simple short veil is all you need, you don't need us.

Where we're different is in the specifics we're willing to publish. We tell you the tier count, the edge finish, the attachment, and the actual finished drop in inches and centimeters before you buy, including when a style measures a little outside the standard range for its name. We tell you exactly which shade you are getting (Ivory, Cream or Champagne) and photograph it in daylight rather than editing it to flatter. We hold Ivory stock ourselves in the U.S. and ship it in days. And if it isn't right, you have 14 days to send it back.

At the very low end you usually get none of that: no stated length, a heavier or shinier tulle, a comb that isn't sewn in properly, and no way to ask a question and get an answer. Whether that matters is your call, not ours.

What if my veil arrives damaged or isn't what I ordered?

Email us a photo within 7 days of delivery and we replace it or refund you in full, including shipping both ways. No $15 return shipping and no cleaning fee. That one is on us.
